I tried to like Final Fantasy, but I just couldn't.

I thought I would because he contributed to Arcade Fire and their Funeral album is incredible.

I'll add Heartland to the ever growing list of things to listen to...

I've no time for Head First (as said) but I'm still hoping it does well in the charts, with some longevity of sales. In these cut-throat days bands need all the industry "juice" they can get.

Over on the Goldfrapp News section there's a thread called "the album has leaked". I got a leaked version from there about 10 days ago. I've since deleted it!

It might still be on there if you're quick

Same here. Loved the last album, pretty much loathed Head First by comparison and even as a standalone it's pretty shallow to me, all shiny surface but little substance or sharp melodic turns. Not enough variety for a 9-track album either. Hopefully it'll just be two years again till the next one comes around, I hope to God they've moved on from whatever thought process yielded this record by then.

I'd put money on that.

Fantastic album.
Jax! Thanks for reminding me. I heard one of his songs on 6music a few days ago and made a mental note to Google. Really loved the song, can't remember what it's called though....

I've still only played Head First 3 times. Maybe I'll like it better on the fourth listen.

Blimey - down from 6 to 24 after two weeks. Not so much Head First as Tits Up.
